BRONX, NY -- The New York State Automatic Vending Association said it plans to venerate Herb Luckower by naming its annual golf outing after the vend broker pioneer.

The first Herb Luckower Memorial Golf Outing will be held at the Pelham Bay Split Rock Golf Course in the Bronx, NY, on Sept. 27. Luckower, who was closely involved in industry affairs at state and national levels, died in February. | SEE STORY

Golfers will gather for lunch at 11:30 a.m. and the tournament will begin at 1 p.m. A reception, dinner and awards ceremony begin at 6 p.m. to wind up the day out.

The tournament is a four-person best-ball format; golfers who are not part of their own foursome will be assigned to a group. NYSAVA organizers are asking participants to register as soon as possible so they can finalize groups.

The $175 registration fee covers golf, cart, lunch, dinner and prizes. The cost to just attend the dinner is $70.

Register at nysava.org or mail a check to Zane Greenwald C/O Betson Distributing at 6743 Thomson Rd., Syracuse, NY 13211.
