NCR,DULUTH, GA -- NCR Corp. announced its first major introduction of its Blockbuster Express-branded DVD-rental kiosks in Texas through the replacement of existing kiosks at 105 Tom Thumb and Randalls food and drug stores in Dallas, Houston and Austin.

NCR announced plans to replace the current DVDPlay-branded kiosks with Blockbuster Express models when it acquired DVDPlay in December 2009. With capacity for more than 950 DVDs, NCR said its kiosks hold more than twice the typical number of DVDs held by competing kiosks. In addition, customers now will be able to return movies at 9 p.m. -- two hours later than required by the DVDPlay machines -- and to rent DVDs online at blockbusterexpress.com.

Consumers can return DVDs to any Blockbuster Express kiosk, not just the one from which they rented them. No membership is required to rent a movie; customers simply swipe their credit card and are charged $1 per night until they return the DVD. To find the nearest Blockbuster Express kiosk, consumers can use NCR's store locator.
