Bob Gottlieb FT. LAUDERDALE, FL -- VE South has promoted Bob Gottlieb to director of educational services. Gottlieb has been with the full-line distributor for 16 years, most recently leading the introduction of its Star Food Healthy Express food vending machines to public schools nationwide.

Joe Gilbert, VES general manager and vice-president, credited Gottlieb with establishing the program in more than 24 states. In his new position, Gottlieb will be devoted exclusively to the school vending market.

Gottlieb began his 40-year industry career as a partner at a New York City vending company. He then joined Service Systems Corp., where he served as branch and district manager for vending and foodservice. SSC was later acquired by Marriott Management Services, and Gottlieb became the southeast area vending manager. He later transferred to southern California, where he became regional vending director.
