Jerry Marcus Sells Dandy Amusements Ownership Share To Pellegrini

SIMI VALLEY, CA -- Industry veteran Jerry Marcus reports that he has sold his 50% ownership share in Dandy Amusements International Inc. to his partner and longtime associate Ed Pellegrini. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Marcus, who has been involved in the coin machine industry for 55 years, said that he plans to spend more time with his family and at his home in Florida. His long career has included service with Rowe International (Whippany, NJ) and Atlas Music (Chicago). His business relationship with Pellegrini, has spanned 35 years.

The two founded Dandy Amusements in 1992, with John Lemieux, now chief operating officer. Dandy was established to operate amusement equipment in movie theater chains; it now serves more than 400 locations. Marcus said that he is confident that Dandy will continue to grow and flourish under the leadership of Pellegrini and Lemieux, and he plans to stay in touch.
