CHICAGO -- Dec. 2 -- The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Food and Drug Administration's pending calorie disclosure rules are projected for February 2014 for final action.

"As with similar announcements, it's important to recognize that at this point February is a projection, not a definitive date for issuance of the final rules," said Eric Dell, the National Automatic Merchandising Association's senior vice-president of government affairs.

"Regardless of timing, NAMA's government affairs team will provide the support you need to be positioned for success," Dell continued.
