BOULDER, CO -- MinuteKEY said it has promoted Britain White to vice-president of sales for Walmart and business development. White has been with minuteKEY since 2014. In his new post, he will continue to service the Walmart account and expand his role into new business development and the "broadening" product offerings.
MinuteKEY describes its eponymous vending machine as the world's first patented self-service, key duplication kiosk. It is said to be a "highly accurate, secure and easy-to-use key-cutting device." According to minuteKEY, machines are placed in thousands of high-traffic retail locations in the U.S. and Canada, including Walmart, Lowe's and Menards.
"Britain has been an asset to minuteKEY as we've built a very successful self-service key duplicating service," said minuteKEY chief executive Randy Fagundo. "We're pleased to elevate his role as we continue to expand our core business, while driving growth beyond with new products and kiosk concepts." Fagundo did not say what new products and kiosk concepts the organization is planning to introduce.
White has 25 years' experience in the retail and kiosk industries. He has been responsible for more than 1,000 minuteKEY installations, managing relationships with Walmart and Sam's Club. Prior to minuteKEY, he was director of sales in Outerwall's (formerly Coinstar) mass channel division, where he was responsible for the company's Walmart account for 10 years.
