CLEVELAND -- Vendors Exchange International Inc. said it has entered into a partnership with cashless payment giant USA Technologies to create the VE Kiosk. Vendors Exchange built the new micromarket kiosk to help vending operators save time and money by using systems with which they are familiar.
"We wanted to allow our customers to utilize their existing backend vending management systems to control the VE Kiosk," explained VEII president Matt Shene. "Today, our customers have two different systems to manage their micromarkets and vending machines, which causes unnecessary work due to two different channels."
The VE Kiosk uses USAT's ePort Connect processing platform, along with its More loyalty platform, which provides added discounts and rewards to consumers that could help drive repeat business.
"Today's consumers, millennials in particular, want convenience when making a purchase," said Michael K. Lawlor, chief services officers of Malvern, PA-based USAT. "The ability to make a purchase with a swipe and at the same time earn loyalty points, gives operators the ability to engage with customers in the moment, at the point of sale. We are thrilled to be integrating our ePort Connect platform with Vendors Exchange solutions."
Cleveland-based VEII supplies new and reconditioned vending machines, replacement parts and upgrade kits, along with tools, accessories and components. Its electronics repair service is available nationwide.
