MICHIGAN CITY, IN -- The Long Beach Country Club here will be the setting for the Indiana Vending Council's spring 2014 meeting and Operator Appreciation Day. The events are scheduled for Thursday, May 15.
A highlight of the 2014 conference will be a government relations update during the membership meeting. Legislative counsel Steve Beebe of Beebe, Scherer & Associates LLC (Indianapolis) will review the activities of both houses of the Indiana General Assembly so far this year, and describe opportunities likely to arise during the remainder of 2014.
The conference gets under way at 8 a.m. with a continental breakfast. IVC president Jeff Snyder, Snyder Food Services (Kendallville, IN), will open the membership meeting at 9 a.m. The meeting will conclude at 11:30 a.m. and will be followed by lunch.
The afternoon will be devoted to golf, which will start at 12:30 p.m.
Cost for the meeting and luncheon is $40; the fee for a golf foursome is $400. Conference-goers who plan to arrive on the evening before the event will find the nearby Blue Chip Casino Hotel a convenient place to stay.
All operators are invited to attend, whether or not they are IVC members. The council reports that sponsorship opportunities are available at $100, with pool-shootout sponsorships for $250 and luncheon sponsorships at $500.
