ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL -- Incredible Technologies
said its Silver Strike Live trackball
videogame will ship to distributors and operators on
Feb. 15. To help kickoff the rollout, the factory is
offering a 12-month, 0% financing program for the new
online videogame.
Like IT's Golden Tee Live video golf game, the latest
version in the popular bowling series supports online
national contests for cash prizes. Gameplay and
feature enhancements include classic 10-frame, 10-
pin action on three different lanes; an all-new
"spare challenge" mode, which offers
players an additional way to win; customizable
bowlers and balls; and HD graphics and sound. IT
said Silver Strike Live offers patrons an entirely new
videogame experience. See video
here.
These new features and real-time play are being put
to test in 50 select nationwide locations served by the
Club Lucky operating
companies. The Silver Strike Live test-run began on
Dec. 15 (see story
here). IT senior vice-president of sales Don
Pesceone reported that the Club Lucky trial games
achieved cashbox increases of up to 400% compared
with earlier versions of the game.
Incredible Technologies has designed some of the best-
known arcade videogames that mimic ten-pin bowling on
a monitor corresponding to a trackball. Predating the
original Silver Strike game of 2004 are Capcom Bowling
(1988), Strata Bowling (1990) and World Class Bowling
(1997).
Silver Strike 2007 Bowler's Club was the first to go
online, through ITNet, and initiated weekly
sweepstakes. Now that the live version can reward
players on a per-game basis, IT is eliminating the
sweepstakes program. However, special tournaments,
like last summer's Bowlapalooza, can be
added at anytime. And operators can create their own
tournaments using FACTS, the videogame
company's "free automated contest and
tournament software."
