DALLAS -- Avanti Markets, a pioneer in self-checkout micromarkets, held its first annual operator meeting on Feb. 29 here. It also announced the formation of an advisory board, designated to help shape its business strategy.
More than 90 operators from across the country attended the meeting. Avanti executives brought participants up to speed on hardware are software enhancements to its self-checkout kiosks, supplier programs, sales and marketing strategies, and the company's plans for future advancements. Roundtable discussions provided a forum for operators to exchange ideas and strategies for micromarket success.
Avanti also introduced the six operator members of its advisory board. They are Craig Kushner, Monumental Vending (Beltsville, MD); Zane Power, Five Star Food Service (Chattanooga, TN); Lawrence Binsky, Advantage Food & Beverage (Columbus, OH); Kevin Van Hazel, Ace Vending (Phoenix); Scott Halloran, Trolley House Refreshments (Richmond, VA); and Mark Hesch, A.H. Management (Rolling Meadows, IL).
