ROCKAWAY, NJ -- The Northeast Pennsylvania Manufacturers and Employers Association (MAEA) recognized Full Service Foods Group for its expansion in Pennsylvania at its annual awards dinner, according to an announcement from the full- line vending company.
Since it opened in April 2009, the McAdoo, PA, branch has created 10 new jobs despite the area's tough economic conditions. Full Service was also recognized for using the services of other local businesses and purchasing 70% of its products from them, creating more jobs as a direct result.

MAEA, which represents 330 companies across Schuylkill and surrounding counties, presented 12 "excellence" awards for a variety of achievements. The dinner, held at the Schuylkill County Country Club in Orwigsburg, PA, was well attended by the state's elected officials. Awards were presented by state representatives Neal Goodman, Tim Seip and Jerry Knowles, along with MAEA officials.
"These companies not only didn't lay people off, but they expanded. They deserve to be recognized for that," MAEA president Darlene Robbins said. "It means they are running their companies as a business should."
