WHEELING, IL -- Illinois Lock Co. reports that it manufactures an extensive range of locks for kiosks. The latest, called PL518, is a push-in tubular lock for display kiosks that use iPads or other tablets.
The new lock is engineered for space-limited kiosk installation. The design allows for more than 1/4" of shaft travel, but the lock exhibits a very small profile on the kiosk surface. It operates with a seven-pin tumbler mechanism that can provide as many as 500 key codes, offering higher security than four-tumbler locks. The lock surface bezel is available in two finishes, bright chrome and satin nickel, to enhance the appearance of the kiosk.
The PL518 is just one of the company's kiosk lock varieties, which includes the ultra-small BC520XS and a selection of in-stock locks to meet kiosk locking requirements.
