CORONA, CA -- Now available from Lock America Inc. is a stainless- steel version of its Snap-In removable plug lock. The new lock is an enhancement of the company's hardened-steel model, introduced in 2009, which required the customer to replace both the housing and the removable plug in order to upgrade existing locks to its Snap-In design.
The newest version of the removable plug lock system is designed to retrofit Medeco housings used in vending machines and changers. It eliminates the hassle of inserting a Medeco plug when relocking a machine.
Lock America's 600 Series removable plug locks are built around the company's high-security keyways, which are hand-assembled with registered key codes. The company's rotating detainer disc system is said to be virtually pickproof. The removable core's stainless- steel construction with eight hardened-steel rod inserts renders it almost drill-proof. The stainless-steel lock body and housing keep it rust-free.
