WeGoBabies

SAN FRANCISCO -- WeGoBabies is rolling out a vending machine dedicated to supplying parents away from home with the essentials they need to keep their babies clean, fed and happy.

Parents on family outings often forget or run out of baby essentials and find themselves stranded without access to the items they need, pointed out WeGoBabies cofounder Phillip Carrington. The new automated baby supply store is designed to come to their rescue in the high-traffic public venues they frequent most, including airports, zoos, resorts, amusement parks, museums and shopping malls.

WeGoBabies vends the most popular items parents typically carry in a diaper bag, from fresh milk, soymilk and juice to infant formula, baby food and healthy snacks. It is also stocked with an assortment of non-consumables like diapers and wipes, sippy cups, bottles, sunscreen, pacifiers, teethers and apparel.

Carrington told VT that he and his partners "morphed" a variety of machine components and concepts to create WeGoBabies. The dual-temperature machine stands 70" W. x 88" H. x 40" D., uses an elevator system that gently delivers products and is fitted with a touchpad selection screen. It also has an LCD that can be used to run product promotions and other advertising.

The vender comes standard with a credit card reader and receipt printer for proof of purchase and easy exchange and refund options. Inventory, advertising and machine functionality can be monitored remotely.

The vender will make its debut at the upcoming NAMA OneShow in late April at Chicago's McCormick Place.
