Rock-Ola"TORRANCE, CA -- Rock-Ola Manufacturing Corp. has begun production of its Series IV Touchscreen Music Center jukebox for the home market. The new model was shown in prototype at the Chicagoland Jukebox Show in April.

The Series IV Nostalgic line builds on the innovations of preceding models. It incorporates the popular 19" touchscreen selector, and now features a terabyte hard drive that can accommodate the material from as many as 14,000 compact audio discs. The controller is built around an Intel Atom processor, backed by a gigabyte of RAM and serial ATA data transfer for fast execution of music and touchscreen applications.

Five inches shallower than the Rock-Ola CD Nostalgic jukebox, the Series IV features an enhanced touchscreen surround providing kaleidoscopic illumination of the fa├žade. All models incorporate a 1600W. Peavey solid-state amplifier that delivers 800W. (RMS) a channel, with little heat output. The cabinet has been redesigned to provide convenient access to the controls, LED indicators and external speaker connections to the lightweight, powerful amplifier.

The new amplifier, with rear-cabinet access, also is being incorporated into the existing Rock-Ola CD Nostalgic jukeboxes, and the Nostalgic Bubbler has regained its classic stainless steel base.

Rock-Ola also has announced that it now is stocking inventory in its bonded warehouse in Manchester, England. This provides immediate access to Rock-Ola products for the company's distributors in Europe.

Responding to accelerating demand, Rock-Ola implemented direct control of product distribution in the European market, and has been setting up accounts with its established dealers. The new warehouse also has enabled the company to expand its European dealer network.

"Ready availability of jukeboxes from the new warehouse distribution center allows dealers to save even more on their inventory in these challenging economic times," said Rock-Ola chief executive Glenn Streeter.
