BRISTOL, PA -- AMI Entertainment Network reports that it has released the latest software update for its Megatouch Ion countertop device. Version 2011.5 features a range of updated content for several favorite Megatouch games. It is available at no cost to any operator presently running the 2011 software, which was published last fall.
Among the enhancements offered in the new version are many new, challenging questions for Trivia Whiz 2, as well as appealing new graphics for the Penthouse erotic games suite, including Photo Hunt, Foxy Boxxi, Pix Mix, Look Out and Photo Pop.
The 2011.5 release is offered as a download simultaneously with the shipment of software kits. Operators using AMI's broadband subscription model need not wait for their kits to arrive, and then visit their locations to install the updates. Their networked machines will receive and install the revisions automatically. Connected operators who are not using the subscription model can choose the machines they wish to update by visiting the MegaNet operator website.
"We continually strive to accommodate our operators with time-saving features and effortless installs," said A.J. Russo, AMI Entertainment's creative director. "The 2011.5 release offers operators total control of their machines without a location visit."
Additionally, the 2011.5 software saves all machine settings during download, eliminating the need to reset after installation. It also offers live control of any broadband-connected Ion machine through AMI Access. According to the company, its online Access and MegaNet Core make operator route management easier than ever -- and they are free.
