JOLIET, IL -- A wheelchair-bound thief was arrested at a Chinese restaurant here after he entered the eatery and began tampering with a bulk vending machine with what witnesses described as "a long piece of plastic."

Darrin Harri was arrested when location management called the police. Harris handed over his ill-gotten gains to officers who arrived at the scene of the petty crime; he was only able to pry $1.75 from the machine.

Harris was arraigned on felony charges because of his prior record.
