KALAMAZOO, MI -- New from Advantage Vending is the ESIB 2000 line of modular refrigeration systems offering a sophisticated controller designed to lower the energy consumption of packaged cold beverage machines.
Incorporating a refrigeration deck built by Simplicool Technologies International (Waynesville, OH), the ESIB not only records sales data and route driver activity, but also monitors traffic in order to turn off the machine's illumination when no one is in the vending area. By continually sensing the temperature within the cabinet, the controller can shut off the refrigeration unit when it's not needed. According to the manufacturer, one module can control the display lighting of as many as three additional machines.
The ESIB 2000 may be retrofitted into nearly all stack or glassfront cold drink venders, or used as an OEM platform. Field testing is complete, and five rebuilt models -- ESIB 576, 511, 5591, 720 and 390 -- have been accepted for the Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star qualification, consistent with the Energy Star eligibility criteria for refrigerated beverage vending machine products (version 2.0).
ESIB 2000 is slated for market rollout on Jan. 1, 2011. Advantage Vending is based in Kalamazoo, MI, and be reached at 269-343-2322.
