TEMPE, AZ -- A new privately built and managed student housing facility near the Arizona State University campus here will be the first location in the state for Shop24's automated convenience store.
Made by Shop24 Global LLC (Columbus, OH), the giant vending machine, with a 10x13-ft. footprint, can stock up to 200 items in a wide range of sizes. The machine accommodates products ranging in weight from 1 oz. to 10 lbs.
Called District on Apache, the new student housing community prides itself on its cutting-edge amenities, which include an outdoor pool with private cabanas, spa, movie theater and luxurious student apartments. Complementing those amenities, the Shop24 store will be installed at street level; it also will be accessible to the general public.
"We designed this property for the modern student, and that means providing every amenity possible," said District on Apache's Derek Anderson. "We feel that Shop24 is the best way to provide a 24 hour convenience store for our residents without requiring too much space. We expect our residents to be pleased with our decision."
Shop24 has been rapidly expanding its deployment of its versatile vending machines across the U.S., at apartment complexes, colleges and universities, businesses, transportation hubs and tourist destinations.
