SANTA ANA, CA -- ITT Flojet has introduced the Flojet Bottled Water System Plus, an update of its popular BW1000. Introduced in 1998, the Flojet system has found widespread favor with operators wishing to install plumbed-in equipment at locations without ready access to potable water lines.
New on the Bottled Water System Plus is a lighted on/off switch, an overload-protected motor designed to deliver as much as 25% greater energy efficiency and an ergonomic handle on the bottle wand. A float valve in the wand turns the motor off when the bottle is empty, and re-powers it automatically when the water supply is renewed. Quick-disconnect fittings on the suction and discharge tubes speed and simplify installation and replacement. The heart of the system is the Flojet electric diaphragm pump, incorporating technology proven over 35 years of use.
Like its predecessor, the Bottled Water System Plus's "clean" demand pump automatically maintains pressure in the discharge line; its vacuum sealing keeps water fresh, and a built-in checkvalve prevents backflow. The pump operates quietly, automatically turning on and off to keep the appliance's tank or reservoir full.
ITT Flojet observes that the Bottled Water System Plus is suitable for use with coffee brewers and other beverage preparation equipment, icemakers, water dispensers and refrigerators, or any similar appliance requiring an external potable water supply.
Flojet is part of ITT Flow Control, a producer of pumps, valves, membranes and related products.
