TouchTunes Ranks No. 1 In Nielsen Audience Report

NEW YORK CITY -- TouchTunes Interactive Networks reports that it placed first in Nielsen's second-quarter 4th Screen Audience Report. The study tracks video-network advertising for location-based media, measuring advertising exposures in such locations as bars, restaurants, hotels, movie theatres and health clubs.

TouchTunes' monthly audience of 102 million viewers leads the digital out-of-home category, the company reported.

The study also showed that TouchTunes heads up the rankings for audience segments including "Male 18-34" and "Male 18-49," "Female 18-34" and "Female 18-49." Brad Adgate, senior vice-president of research for Horizon Media (New York City), explained that "As dollars continue to migrate into this medium, advertisers want to know the size and scope of what their marketing investments are buying.

"The Nielsen 4th Screen Report illustrates the importance of this medium a communication channel," Adgate continued, observing that it serves to educate marketers about consumers' interactions with the screens in these locations, which are increasing rapidly.

One such marketer is Verizon (New York City). "As a longtime TouchTunes partner, we're happy to see this report validate what we've known for a long time," said that company's director of marketing, Bobby Morrison. "TouchTunes Interactive Networks is the idea platform for our brands to reach their target audiences, and we're excited about continuing to work with TouchTunes to provide premiere in-venue entertainment for our customers."

TouchTunes president and chief executive Charles Goldstuck expressed his satisfaction with the report. "With our state-of-the-art digital jukeboxes and a fast-growing network of TouchTunesTV screens, we are 'best in class' for consumers, advertisers and venue operators," he stated.

TouchTunes Interactive Networks provides entertainment and marketing solutions to more than 45,000 bars, restaurants and retailers in North America. The company runs the nation's largest digital jukebox network. Its in-bar media division, originally known as Barfly, was recently renamed TouchTunesTV.
