ERIE, CO -- National Coffee Service & Vending reports that it has been appointed sales representative for Mavea's professional products division in the U.S. Mavea LLC, with U.S. headquarters in Elgin, IL, markets both commercial and home water filtration products. Mavea equipment is manufactured in Taunusstein, Germany.
Mavea and NCS&V shone the spotlight on the Purity C filter commercial line at the National Automatic Merchandising Association's CoffeeShow in Las Vegas.
Purity C was developed specifically for coffee brewing, vending and catering equipment. According to the manufacturer, Purity C filters reduce the carbonate "hardness" of drinking water, preventing scale deposits in appliances. They also remove heavy metal ions, such as lead and copper, and reduce cloudiness and filter out organic impurities and chlorine that degrade the quality and taste of water and water-based products.
Purity C filter cartridges have found wide application in regular coffee and espresso machines, cup vending machines and foodservice equipment like combination steamer and conventional ovens.
"We are extremely proud to be representing Mavea, a leader in water filtration technology, and helping them grow in the breakroom industry," said NCS&V principal Brent Toevs.
Mavea LLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Brita Group whose parent company, Brita GmbH, invented the water filter jug more than four decades ago. It sold the Brita brand in North and South America to Clorox Co. in 2000, and Clorox now markets its own products under this brand name in the Americas.
