WILLOUGHBY, OH -- Following the purchase of Cleveland Coin Machine Exchange this summer by Family Entertainment Group LLC, the new owners staged a public auction of more than 350 amusement games, novelties and jukeboxes.

The auction took place Aug. 27 at the Cleveland Coin facility here and on the Internet via simulcast, using real-time bidding technology.

The pieces for sale were described as "excess inventory" and included cranes, kiddie rides, pool tables, arcade games, air hockey tables and bulk venders and among other coin machines.

VT reported the sale of CCME and the retirement of its chief executive Ron Gold in July. | SEE STORY
