VISTAR OF NEW ENGLAND TO HOST EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM AND TRADE SHOW
WINDSOR, CT — Vistar of New England will hold its annual trade show at the BestWesternRoyalPlazaTradeCenter in Marlborough, MA, on September 20 and 21. The product and equipment show will run from to on Wednesday and from to on Thursday. Seminars will take place before the show on Wednesday. USA Technologies will present a session on cashless vending beginning at and ending at , with programming that addresses coffee pods and new pod equipment also offered during this time slot. Educational programs will follow these sessions, focusing on ice cream vending or school nutrition, from to . MASSACHUSETTS ASSN.’S ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND OUTING, MEETING SET FOR SEPTEMBER 13
TOPSFIELD, MA —The Massachusetts Vending Association will combine its annual meeting and Scholarship Fund Golf Outing. Both events will be held at the Sheraton Colonial Golf Club (Wakefield, MA) on September 13. The MVA Scholarship Fund is a tax-exempt public charity that is supported by voluntary contributions from association member companies, investment income from funded endowments and proceeds from the annual golf outing. This year’s outing will be a relaxing daylong event, according to MVA Scholarship Fund chairman Allan Z. Gilbert. The festivities will begin at with a softball game that pits operators against suppliers. The golf classic follows at . NAMA NEW MEMBER PROMOTION ENDS SOON
CHICAGO — The August 31 deadline for the National Automatic Merchandising Association’s summer membership promotion is fast approaching. Members of the vending, coffee service and on-site foodservice industry that join NAMA by this date will receive $1,600 in discounts and free products.
Included in the promotion are a Tuffronts kit in standard black, a 10% discount on selected vending machines from Vendor’s Equipment, a $100 rebate for the CT3 Vending Tester PRO coin changer/bill validator tester from SEM Inc. and three months of wireless remote monitoring from inOne Technology. NAMA CALLS FOR INDUSTRY AWARD NOMINATIONS
CHICAGO — Nominations for the seventh annual National Automatic Merchandising Association Industry Awards program are due by September 1, reports Dean Gilland, NCE, NAMA’s vice-president of membership and coffee services. The awards, which recognize deserving individuals and companies for professional achievements in vending, OCS and foodservice, will be presented at the Industry Awards Banquet during the NAMA National Expo in Orlando in October. “Don’t let the deadline pass. Send in your nomination for individuals and companies who consistently demonstrate the highest standards of professional excellence,” Gilland said. “They deserve recognition for their dedication and commitment to our industry, which in the end benefits us all.”

Nominations are open to all trade members for the Industry Person of the Year Award.
