GARDENA, CA — Andamiro USA has introduced a redemption game that offers family-oriented play and a twist on traditional mechanical hammer games. Called Oh! Hammer2, it features a large, horizontally mounted touch-sensitive monitor that players hit with soft plastic mallets to complete a variety of simple and intuitive challenges.
The game is designed for one or two players, and equally appeals to males and females. It offers eight stages for all modes – including single-play, two cooperative play options and six games specifically for competitive play – making it a versatile piece that encourages adults to join their children in play. Each stage lasts 40 seconds, and if a player successfully completes the challenge he is awarded another play, and a bonus game after that, for his credit.
Single-player stages include “monster hunt” and a simulated version of the classic “Whac-A-Mole” challenge, developed in 1971 and introduced in the U.S. by Bob’s Space Racers. Options for two players range from hockey- to galactic-themed games. The quick and simple play style will encourage steady earnings, the company noted.
Oh! Hammer2 is equipped to dispense tickets, with several operator-adjustable settings for this mode. The 42-in. plasma display panel provides high-resolution graphics and is housed in a colorful cabinet accented by lighted corners and an attention-getting overhead marquee.
Oh! Hammer2 measures 43.7 ins. W. x 53.5 ins. D. x 73.5 ins. H. and weighs 330 lbs.
