PHOENIX -- The National Bulk Vendors Association, based here, is taking a new approach to scheduling seminars for its upcoming trade show and convention. This year, the NBVA is asking its members to set the educational agenda through online balloting. It will then line up the experts to address the topics that operators most request.
This "crowdsourcing" approach is the brainchild of NBVA seminar chairman Allan Pollock of Aftica Vend (Ridgeway, ON, Canada). He is hoping the open call technique will help the association to more accurately target issues of interest.

This year's NBVA show again is collocated with the Amusement Expo at the Las Vegas Convention, next door to the Hilton, from March 14 to 16. A bulk vending exhibit area will be part of the trade show layout. Amusement Expo is jointly sponsored by the Amusement and Music Operators Association and the American Amusement Machine Association, and has superseded their separate trade shows.
Additionally, the NBVA is making plans to combine its traditional evening cocktail hour with the social program hosted by AMOA and AAMA, which will afford bulk vendors the opportunity to network with operators and suppliers from other segments of the coin machine industry. The cocktail hour, which takes place on the evening of March 14 (Wednesday), will have a Mardi Gras theme and live entertainment.
