MIAMI -- Burger King Corp. will install Coca-Cola's high-tech Freestyle soda fountain in all of its 850 U.S. company-owned restaurants.
Burger King said it plans to install the touchscreen beverage dispensing system, which offers more than 100 flavors, by April 2012. The fast-food chain, with more than 7,000 U.S. locations, is also recommending that its U.S. franchisees install the Freestyle machine.
Customers can choose from dozens of Coca-Cola brands and customize their own still and sparkling drinks. The machine creates the drinks by mixing flavor concentrate, stored in compact cartridges, with water and sweetener.
Coca-Cola's Freestyle is presently installed in more than 1,700 locations, including restaurants, movie theaters, stadiums and supermarkets.
