LAS VEGAS -- The National Bulk Vendors Association has elected Steven Schechner of Capital Vending (Florence, AL) as its next president. He succeeds Bernard Schwarzli, Beaver Machine Corp., who held NBVA's top post since late 2009.
The NBVA, an organization that includes equipment operators, product suppliers and machine manufacturers serving the bulk vending industry, elected new officers on March 16 at its general membership meeting, which was held during its 62nd annual convention and trade show in Las Vegas.

The NBVA membership also elected officers who will serve alongside Schechner. Carl Morcate of Vendynamics was chosen as vice-president; Shawn Dumphy, SSM Vending, secretary; and Judi Heston, Theisen Vending Co. (Golden Valley, MN), treasurer.
The NBVA's trade show was collocated with Amusement Expo at the Las Vegas Convention Center from March 14 to 16. Amusement Expo is jointly sponsored by the Amusement and Music Operators Association and the American Amusement Machine Association, and has superseded their separate trade shows.
The NBVA, which traditionally has held its annual trade show in the spring, collocated that show with Amusement Expo for the first time in 2011. Both collocations were met with widespread approval among the association's members. The NBVA said it plans to host exhibits inside Amusement Expo for a third time in 2013.
NBVA was founded in 1950. It maintains an office at 1202 E. Maryland Ave. Ste. 1K, Phoenix, AZ, 85014.
