NEW YORK CITY -- Vendors Exchange International Inc. is strutting its stuff at New York's Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Lincoln Center, where its large-format VE Connect touchscreen display is a centerpiece at the Maybelline exhibit.
The high-tech vending machine is running Maybelline marketing content and dispensing samples of the cosmetic giant's latest products to fashion industry insiders who interact with the touchscreen display. The biennial fashion event wraps up on Sept. 13.
Vendors Exchange offers VE Connect in 46" and 55"screen sizes. The 1080p interactive color touchscreen transforms a vending machine into a fully interactive platform capable of displaying targeted advertising, promotional videos, detailed product images and nutritional information, among other content.
An integrated content-management system allows vending operators to select which user interface they want to display, and controls the ads, promotions, games and apps that are displayed to shoppers. Operators have access to a product database containing thousands of two- and three-dimensional product images and nutritional information.
VE Connect machines are equipped with a universal control board, camera, cellular modem and QR barcode reader to support proprietary and open applications.
