ATLANTA -- Innovolt has introduced a cloud-based reporting system that allows enterprise users to remotely monitor business-critical electronic environments. Called Innovolt Management Cloud, the program offers customers the ability to receive and analyze key information, including the type and frequency of power-related events at each location.

In conjunction with the debut of IMC, the company also is rolling out its Power Doctor Smartphone Adaptor for smartphones. It is designed to read data generated by Innovolt's electronics management appliances and upload it immediately to the cloud platform. It works in conjunction with the Innovolt App, now available for iOS phones and slated for Android release in the near future.

Innovolt explained that users could simply plug the Adaptor into a smartphone and, using the Innovolt App, optically read performance data associated with the asset's environment. The data can be uploaded directly into the IMC, and is available for analysis from any Web-enabled device.

Businesses today increasingly rely on electronic assets that are vital to their brand reputation and ability to serve customers, the company pointed out. But these sophisticated digital assets are susceptible to disturbance related to the power supply, temperature, weather-related events and others. Without the ability to understand how the environment is impacting electronic equipment, executives are left in the dark regarding the impact of location environments on valuable equipment, which can increase service-related costs and parts expense.

These disturbances also affect businesses through lost revenue, lost profitability, shortened asset life and lost customers, the company emphasized. The IMC program is designed to arm businesses with added tools to improve their defenses against environment-related difficulties in order to maximize the performance of expensive and sensitive technology assets, reduce service costs, improve customer satisfaction and extend the useful life of equipment.

The Power Doctor Smartphone Adaptor application will be available at Apple's iTunes App Store.

Innovolt designs, manufactures and markets electronics protection technology. The company exhibited power supply protection systems at the National Automatic Merchandising Association's recent OneShow in Las Vegas.
