BAY CITY, MI -- The Valley National 8-Ball League Association has chosen its board of directors for the upcoming 32nd Annual League season.
Assuming the presidency is Dave Hawkins, D&R Star (Austin, MN), who succeeds Mike Fowler, Vend Music of Texas (Houston). Hawkins, a past-president of the Minnesota Operators of Music and Amusements, also chairs VNEA's Judicial, Ethics and Legislative Committee and so serves on the association's Executive Committee.
Chosen first vice-president is Tom Elum, Elum Music (Massillon, OH). Judy Mehle, BMW Billiards (Loveland, CO), serves as second vice-president and treasurer. Third vice-president is Ed Borgia, Warner Coin (Erie, PA).
Marshall Kohtz, V.V.S. (Lincoln, NE), becomes charter holder director-at-large. He is the newest member of the VNEA board and has been involved with the association since its early days. He also is chairman and tournament director for the association's successful Junior Championships program, making him a member of the Executive Committee.
Manufacturer director is Stefan Reichert, NSM-Löwen Entertainment (Bingen-am-Rhein, Germany). Dave Courington of Valley-Dynamo (Richland Hills, TX) continues as secretary.
VNEA is an international trade association made up of coin-operated amusement operations that represent some 350 charter holders and nearly 100,000 league pool players worldwide.
