LOS ANGELES -- South Korea's Pentavision Entertainment and Gardena, CA's Pipeline Games Inc. said they have finalized a merger agreement. The resulting company, Pentavision Global Inc., will provide in-house product development and strategic licensing of coin-op amusement games.

James Ko, the former president of Andamiro USA who founded Pipeline and served as its chief executive, becomes president of the new organization. Dave Peckels, whose extensive industry experience includes service with Wurlitzer Vending and Jukebox Co., also continues with the firm as vice-president of sales.

Plans call for Pentavision Global to headquarter in Gardena (greater Los Angeles area) and to maintain research and development facilities, assembly lines and other operations in the Republic of Korea.

"This alliance is a major strategic step for both parties," Ko explained, "and is another illustration of our drive to extend our presence in the amusement games and entertainment sector. The two firms are hoping that their different strengths will combine to form a business which is powerful on every gaming platform and in every territory."

Pentavision Entertainment is a developer and publisher, responsible for such games as S4 League, DJ Max and Dual League. It is a division of Neowiz, a South Korean Internet and online games service company. Pipeline develops and markets coin-operated amusement and video equipment, including Grip Strength and the novel Mr. Vacuum prize crane.
