DES MOINES, IA -- Charitable Vending Management Inc., a division of machine manufacturer The Wittern Group, and pet product distributor DogToys.com Inc. (West Chester, PA), have launched a pet supply vending program that raises money for domestic animal charities.
The companies say the machines, which dispense pet foods and toys, have application in a wide range of public sites. They are targeting their existing customers, vending newcomers, pet shop owners and animal welfare organizations to participate in the program.
The turnkey package includes a glassfront vending machine built by Charitable Vending Management, a starting inventory of pet supplies from DogToys.com and technical support. Operators are encouraged to donate 10% of the proceeds to a charity of their choice. A customized decal on the machine informs the patron that a portion of the purchase price will support the designated organization.
