PrimaryLONDON -- New from Primary Leisure Ltd. is KidsTV, a compact booth that invites children to enjoy cartoons displayed on a large flatscreen video monitor.

The KidsTV "pod" includes a seat that can accommodate one or two children and occupies relatively little floor space; its footprint is only 750mm. x 900mm. (less than 30” x 36") and it stands 1647mm. high (less than 65"), thus not restricting sightlines. It is finished in antibacterial ionized paint, and equipped with non-slip safety flooring.

The kiosk offers young patrons a selection of four popular videos, regularly updated, at a suggested vend price of £1 (about $1.50 U.S.) for a five-minute show. The price is operator-adjustable, and the kiosk is fitted with a promotional printing system that can dispense vouchers. It can be Bluetooth-enabled.

Offering high-quality digital video and audio, the pod itself has no moving parts. It has a 17" screen inside and a 19" monitor mounted on the top, for eye-catching promotional and advertising displays.

Designed for venues with high family traffic -- shopping malls, cinema complexes, highway rest stops, arcades and even medical facilities -- KidsTV is launching in the United Kingdom with four high-recognition licenses: Postman Pat, Finley the Fire Engine, Rupert Bear and Basil Brush. Country-specific content will be licensed as the kiosk is introduced to other nations.

The kiosk's initial target audience is children between the ages of two and seven years, but the company is considering expanding the available content choices to extend its appeal to other age groups.

Primary Leisure was founded by Robin Mitchell and Jonathan Smith.
