Healthy Choices Vender Draw Visit From U.S. Senator

DES MOINES, IA -- All Brands Vending, a division of the Wittern Group, has customized a "healthy" vending machine that it is marketing to schools in Iowa.
The Healthy Choices machine caught the attention of Sen. Tom Harkin, a proponent of the recently passed Iowa Healthy Kids Act, who gave it his vote of confidence during a recent visit to the company's facilities.
The vending machine accommodates beverage cans and bottles, cold foods, dairy products and other snacks and beverages that meet the state's new mandatory nutritional content standards for foods sold in schools. Healthy Choices machines can be customized with a school's colors and logos. The new model is a variant of the Alpine ST5000 refrigerated glassfront vender made by U-Select-It, another Wittern company.
