Pyramid Technologies, Apex 7000 bill validator, bill acceptor, banknote acceptor, vending, amusement machine, kiosk, automated retailing, unattended payment
MESA, AZ -- Pyramid Technologies Inc.'s latest Apex bill acceptor is the first in the line to incorporate DIP switches.
The new Apex 7000 bill acceptor builds on the functionality of earlier models in the Apex 5000 series. Standard features of the line include lighted arrows on the bezel and bill entry area; high security against fraudulent bills; pushbutton LED on-board diagnostics; and dual-stage optical anti-stringing.
"Our customers were clear. They told us 'Don't change a thing. We love the reliability of the existing Apex line, but we want DIP switches,'‟ said Dave Mays, chief executive of Pyramid Technologies. "So that's what we engineered. The result is an efficient, reliable bill acceptor that is amazingly functional."
Pyramid Technologies is based in Meza, AZ, where it manufactures banknote acceptors used by the vending, amusement and gaming industries. In addition to the Apex series, Pyramid offers the Trilogy (accepts bills up to 85mm. wide), Curve (has additional bill path security) and Aqua (can resist water).
