ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL -- Jimmy Tungol, who has led software developer Silent Partner since 2006, has acquired the pioneering route management business from Incredible Technologies and formed a new company, Silent Partner Software LLC.

The transaction was announced by Tungol and IT president and chief executive Elaine Hodgson. Terms were not disclosed.

Hodgson pointed out that Tungol has been the driving force for Silent Partner for the past five years. IT had acquired the quarter-century-old software company from one of its founders, Len Smikun, in 2000. Smikun turned over management of the product to Tungol with the creation of Silent Partner EX in 2006.

"As we focused more and more on creating cutting-edge products for our core constituencies in amusement and gaming, it became apparent that we were not making the effort needed to grow Silent Partner," Hodgson explained. "Jimmy has the experience, resources and time to not only maintain and service existing Silent Partner users, but to create the next generation of the software."

Tungol said the transition will be seamless to the user, and there will be no interruption in service or sales. "I truly believe in Silent Partner," he added, "and love working with the customers who use it."

Tungol may be reached at (224) 858-4252. The latest version of the software, Silent Partner EX, is described online at silentpartnersoft.com.
