DNA U.S. Conference Set For May 15 In Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES -- The Digital Out-of-Home Interactive Entertainment Network Association (DNA) Conference will take place in mid-May at a larger venue than originally planned in order to accommodate growing interest, organizers said. The conference shifts from its original April dates to Tuesday, May 15, and will be held at the USC Davidson Conference Center here. Added to the schedule is a half-day event on May 16.

The conference's keynote speaker is Christopher Stapleton , an entertainment simulation expert at Simiosys Real World Laboratory, and published author on experience designs. Stapleton is a former NASA software developer who also has extensive entertainment experience with Universal and Disney. His keynote address will focus on the growing impact of hybrid (real/physical) experiences on leisure facilities.

DNA's May 15 event includes several panel discussions moderated by Harold Tan of the Immersive Technology Association, Randy White of White Hutchinson Leisure and Kevin Williams of KWP. White and Williams are DNA's cofounders. Williams is editor of the Stinger Report and a VT columnist.

A full roster of moderators and presenters for these sessions will be posted on the DNA U.S. Conference website. An evening social reception is planned for May 15.

Conference admission is $499, if registration is submitted by Feb. 29. The fee is $599 a person from Mar. 1 to May 1. Tickets purchased later than May 1 will cost $675. Interested parties can register here..

Prior to the L.A. conference, Williams will offer a first look at the DNA symposium during the next Foundations Entertainment University, which will be held concurrently with the Amusement Expo in Las Vegas, from March 12 to 16, and at the Dubai Entertainment Amusement & Leisure (DEAL) show and meeting in the UAE on April 16 and 17. The Digital Out-of-Home Interactive Entertainment Network Association (DNA) Conference is an international educational program for away-from-home amusements. It caters to manufacturers, suppliers and operators of video amusements, simulators and digital kiosks, among other attractions. The program specializes in emerging DOE segments like edutainment, exergaming, kidtainment, retailtainment and videmption. It is part of the DNA Association, operated exclusively by KWP.
