BRISTOL, PA -- AMI Entertainment's touchscreen videogame division, dba Megatouch LLC, has made several design improvements to its Megatouch Live platform. In version 2.8, which automatically uploads to game terminals in the field, players will experience greater system speed, new tournament options and selectable screen sizes.

With the new software, load times for Tournamaxx Classic and Megatouch Classic games are reduced by 30 seconds, giving players instant entry to the classic game choices. Of its 100-plus games, Megatouch Live features 40 optimized games, including 11Ball, Tri-Towers and several Penthouse titles.

Megatouch, coin-op video Adding to the system's speed, Megatouch now boasts Quick Restart, a feature that allows players to promptly restart a game without having to go back to the menu. For high-score chasers and Tournamaxx fans, touching the "Restart Game" button quickly gets them out of a game and into a new one.

A new feature aimed at hardcore players is the selectable screen size option, which enhances tournament play and classic games. There are three window sizes: small (12"), medium (15") and large (19"). Players who prefer small or midsize screens can now choose those options when starting a game.

Megatouch, coin-op video Screen size should matter to operators, the manufacturer points out. The selectable capability means Megatouch owners no longer need to choose between terminals with large screens for casual players and small screens preferred by Tournamaxx players.

"Adding the screen size option for our hardcore tournament players is the kind of feature we love," said Megatouch product and marketing director Bill Layne. "Making gameplay as comfortable as possible and giving players the option to choose the size that works best for them without leaving the Megatouch Live system is awesome for both operators and players."
