CHICAGO — The National Association of Concessionaires, based here, will stage its 2008 convention at the Anaheim (CA) Convention Center from July 26 to 28.
This year, the accompanying trade show is being planned jointly by NAC and the International Association of Assembly Managers, an organization committed to the professional operation of amphitheaters, arenas, auditoriums, convention centers, performing arts venues, race tracks, stadiums and university complexes.
NAC and IAAM are collaborating on a combined education session addressing foodservice design and renovation, with focus on managing the foodservice components when renovating an existing facility or constructing a new one. The NAC education program also will deal with innovation in the workplace, as well as recruiting, training, motivating and retaining teenage workers. Breakout sessions will give conference-goers the opportunity to exchange ideas about operations at particular types of locations, such as stadiums and arenas or movie theaters. Tours of the foodservice operations at two Anaheim-area venues, the Jordan Commons Megaplex Theater and Miller Motorsports Park, also are scheduled.
