LAS VEGAS -- Suzo-Happ said it has acquired Transcity Group Pty. Ltd. (Melbourne, Australia), a specialist electronics company providing design, manufacturing, repair of hardware and software, and replacement parts for the gaming and wagering industry. Transcity, founded in 1996, now has facilities in Macau, China, the Philippines and Cambodia, as well as a branch in Sydney, Australia.
Suzo-Happ said that Transcity's capabilities are unmatched in Australasia, in view of its product development and build-to-order capabilities, as well as its distribution reach and workshop services for product support.
The addition of Transcity to the Suzo-Happ organization "brings to our team a truly outstanding group of seasoned industry experts on the cutting edge of product innovation and customer service delivery," said Suzo-Happ president and chief executive James Brendel.
Transcity's management team will remain in place, to continue to service existing customers and expand the company's coverage of the markets it serves. Transcity managing director Geoff McDowell observed that the Suzo-Happ organization is an excellent platform for expanding its relationships with key customers throughout its market area.
