PHILADELPHIA -- The AMI Entertainment Network has downloaded the first in a series of skins for its Tap TV Trivia game. The background images are themed to seasons and holidays, and the first commemorates the end of summer with warm-toned pictures of waves on beaches and summertime fun in general.

New backgrounds will be downloaded regularly, providing contemporary context for Tap TV Trivia's displays of current information about competitive activities on the network. The process will automatically update all connected Tap units.

The interactive television network for bars and restaurants is easy for operators to install and maintain, requiring only one device with a broadband Internet connection and at least one television receiver. Additional location TVs can be supported by use of a splitter or preinstalled video switcher.

Once installed, Tap TV allows operators to offer their locations not only a new source of entertainment to boost traffic and solidify patron loyalty, but also custom advertising. Ads can be prepared quickly and simply with AMI's Ad Manager software.

Location customers can play Tap TV games through their smartphones, so no game controllers are required. The Tap TV app is available for iOS devices through Apple's iTune App Store, and for Android equipment from Google Play.
