GLENDALE, IL -- Kraft Foodservice is teaming up with Samsung Electronics America to showcase operator videos during the 2009 National Automatic Merchandising Association Spring Expo in Las Vegas, set for April 16-17.
Operators are invited to submit 30-second to 60- second videos by March 20 for consideration. A selection of these entries will be shown on a new scalable Samsung "video wall solution" at the Kraft booth, #926. The Samsung solution permits assembling an array of screens into very large displays. The one in the Kraft exhibit will consist of a nine-screen (3x3) display measuring more than 8 ft. high and 10 ft. wide.
Two separate categories have been established for the video entries, one for coffee service operators and the other for vending operators. Kraft is inviting OCS operators to discuss topics related to their category, including trends in hot beverages and the importance of a quality cup of coffee, and finally to describe a perfect cup of coffee. Vending operators are encouraged to discuss the importance of Kraft snack products in their machines, as well as the trends they are seeing in vending products.
Video entries can be uploaded to a special website, kraftnamavideo.com; they should be recorded in Microsoft Windows Media Viewer (WMV) format at 720p. resolution. Any operator who submits a video will receive a 1:24 die-cast car autographed by Roush Sprint Cup driver Matt Kenseth, who won the 2009 Daytona 500.
Besides the video entries, operators will have the chance to preview upcoming Kraft product launches on the giant video display.
"Samsung professional displays will be a top-notch attraction to the Kraft booth this year, showcasing operators' top videos," predicted Diane Striegel, Kraft's corporate planning manager.
