Coin-Op Exhibits And FEC Seminars Comprise Part Of This Week's IAAPA Attractions Expo

ORLANDO, FL -- From bulk vending suppliers like A&A Global Industries and Allstar Vending to member game manufacturers of the American Amusement Machine Association, more than 100 exhibitors will display goods and services for family entertainment centers and coin-op route operations at this week's IAAPA Attractions Expo here.

The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions is hosting its annual show at the Orange County Convention Center from Nov. 15 to 18. IAAPA said this year's show is expected to draw more than 25,000 industry professionals from 100 nations to view some 1,100 exhibits.

Beyond the show floor, the IAAPA convention will also boast a strong FEC component in its educational program. A dedicated FEC track includes both general interest seminars and roundtables.

Sessions on Monday, Nov. 14, include The Ups and Downs of Group Sales; New Social Media Marketing Technologies; and Work Your Promotions.

Tuesday's (Nov. 15) FEC track begins with a working lunch focused on parties and events. Afternoon seminars include "interview, hire, set free, working with the public and dealing with difficult people."

The Wednesday, Nov. 16, session is called "Adding the Wow Factor to Your Redemption and Merchandisers." An afternoon tour of the trade show floor focuses on inflatable product suppliers. The day ends with an FEC reception at which winners of the Top FEC of the World Award will be announced.

Thursday, Nov. 17, kicks off with a seminar titled "Your Employee Training Tool Kit." The FEC roundtable luncheon follows. A two-part afternoon seminar on group sales for FECs runs simultaneously with a seminar called "Surf–N-Turf: Does Adding Water Attractions Make Sense for FECs?"

The Friday, Nov. 18, FEC seminar track offers a daylong series of sessions devoted to various aspects of mobile marketing, with some events requiring non-IAAPA members to pay tuition. Other programs cost $10 for IAAPA members and $20 for nonmembers.
