CHICAGO -- The National Automatic Merchandising Association's 2010 Executive Development Program will take place from Oct. 3 to 6. The certificate course, presented by the vending association in conjunction with the School of Hospitality Business at Michigan State University, is designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of key leaders in the food and refreshment vending, coffee service and foodservice management industries.
The Sunday-Wednesday course will be held at the James B. Henry Center for Executive Development on the campus of MSU in East Lansing, MI. Its newly revamped four-day format provides the same intensity as former programs, but with a sharper focus on the emerging needs of today's ever-changing business environment.
Participants will learn techniques to grow revenue, increase profits and cut costs and expenses. MSU faculty from the Eli Broad Graduate School of Management, The School of Hospitality Business and the College of Communications and Sciences and industry experts will focus on current trends vending and coffee service leaders face in today's competitive environment.
Instructors will work with each participant to help them create a Personal Action Plan by documenting new ideas and strategies after each session to simplify implementation in their businesses after they return home.
Over the past 10 years, nearly 400 professionals in the vending and coffee service industry have completed the program, which is sponsored by Pepsico Foodservice.
