RICHMOND, CA -- A new line of biodegradable cups and inserts from Biomass Packaging transforms the simple cold cup into a versatile container for snacks and meals.
The modular system consists of a clear cup, a lidded insert, and either a flat or domed lid. It is designed for foods that need to be combined just before eating; examples are granola and yogurt, chips and salsa, and salads with croutons and dressing, among other snack and meal combinations. Up to three different ingredients can be offered in one grab-and-go format.
The cups, lids and inserts are made from a natural plastic derived from renewable, plant-based resources that biodegrade and are fully compostable.
Biomass Packaging is a division of Excellent Packaging, a wholesale distribution company that specializes in plant-based packaging for foodservice and other applications.
