FREEPORT, IL -- New from Seaga Manufacturing Inc. is the VC730 compact refreshment center, a small-footprint combination machine offering state-of-the-art electronic controls and contemporary styling.

Occupying just over six square feet of floor space, the new VC370 is designed to meet the needs of today's small and midsize office locations. Its high-brightness LED illumination provides soft white light to the live-product display, for snacks, in the upper part of the vender; the lower module will accommodate seven selections of canned and bottled cold drinks.

Seaga sales manager Joe Williamson explained that the VC730 has the capabilities of an "expensive glassfront machine in a compact size" and its onboard Flash technology supports Seaga Smartware.

"Operators will experience a quick return on investment, and greater versatility to expand their location presence," he said.

(Seaga says it might be the first machine manufacturer to include Flash on its vending machine controllers and is also the first to offer the technology in a compact model.)

Established in 1987, Seaga designs, manufactures and markets a variety of equipment and accessories for the domestic and international vending markets. The company also provides service, parts and repairs from its corporate offices in Freeport, IL. Seaga UK Ltd. and Seaga India Pvt. Ltd. expanded the Seaga group of companies to provide worldwide sales, manufacturing and service.

Seaga Manufacturing has announced the release of version 2.0.11 of its Smartware management information system. Smartware gives operators of Seaga Premium Collection machines a versatile set of tools for quickly changing machine functions, from pricing to changer settings, as well as retrieving transaction information. The new version incorporates the latest MDB protocol (4.1) recently adopted by the National Automatic Merchandising Association. Among other enhancements, this protocol allows operators to enjoy a seamless transition when upgrading payment systems to include bill recyclers.
