OLDSMAR, FL -- Klopp International is now marketing the Newton two-pocket note counter and discriminator, the newest currency scanner from Kisan Electronics Co. It identifies and counts all U.S. banknote denominations.

The new machine can handle mixed-note counting, note sorting with "stranger" rejection, and facing and note orientation; it provides full counterfeit detection. The Kisan Newton can count at speeds of up to 1,000 notes per minute.

Equipped with a 4.3" color touchscreen display and user interface, the Newton is designed for easy navigation and use, presenting an enlarged count-results display and user-friendly icons. It is supplied with a hopper able to hold up to 600 notes, a 200-note stacker and 100-note reject pocket. The machine communicates through USB, LAN and serial connectors; printer and remote display options are available. Recognition software can be updated through the USB port when redesigned notes are introduced.

Counting modes include "piece" (counts all bills and gives the total quantity), "mix" (counts mixed notes and gives both itemized counts of each denomination and the total value), "sort" (counts a specified denomination and off-sorts other denominations into the reject bin), "face" (faces all bills heads-up or heads-down), and "orientation" (orients all bills with heads facing right or left). Present and manual batch settings may be selected.

Four counterfeit modes authenticate the bills processed by the machine: ultraviolet, magnetic and infrared detection, as well as ultrasound. Its hinged design permits easy access and cleaning, and Klopp reports that it has the smallest portable footprint available today. It measures 12.36" wide x 12.2" high x 11.3" deep, and weighs only 22 lbs. The Kisan Newton runs on 110 to 240 VAC at 50 or 60 Hz.

Klopp International has been a manufacturer and marketer of money-handling equipment since 1931. The company is online at kloppcoin.com; pricing and more detailed information may be requested by calling (800) 356-9080.
