DALLAS -- Avanti Markets, a provider of self-checkout micromarkets, presented Five Star Food Service (Chattanooga, TN) with its Operator of the Year award during its recent operator meeting here.
Five Star Food Service is one of the largest independent full-line vending, office coffee service and foodservice providers in the U.S. It operates 300 routes and 30 cafeterias in the Southeast, including Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama, from a network of 11 branches. It also has a culinary center that prepares fresh food daily.
The Five Star operation was founded in 1993 and has since acquired more than 50 companies.
