CARLSTADT, NJ -- Betson Enterprises, headquartered here, reports that Lou Capetta has become a member of its growing Florida amusement sales team.
The distributor opened a branch in Orlando in June. Cappetta will be responsible for sales of all Betson's amusement products in the southern part of the state.
Cappetta grew up in the coin-op amusements business. His family owned two entertainment centers on the New Jersey shore, and he went on to establish his own street route. In the mid-1980s, the popularity of the then-new rotary prize machines created a demand for merchandise, especially costume jewelry. Cappetta responded by founding Bonita Marie International (Lakewood, NJ), which has grown to be a major supplier. It's now called BMI Merchandise.
In 1990, Cappetta developed management software for his own arcade. He called it the Amusement Redemption Management System (ARMS), and found that large family entertainment centers represented an eager market for it.
Betson Florida's David Capilouto said, "We have been looking for a sales professional with Lou's experience in the coin-op industry since we first opened the Orlando office, and we are proud to finally have him on our team."
Cappetta can be reached by telephone at (877) 487-2222, ext. 2810, or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
